About
You’ll like this if you want a sprawling Texas saga with romance, wealth, and social issues that unfold over generations in a bold old-Hollywood style; Not for you if you dislike long, soapy epics like A Place in the Sun or Shane.
Pros: sweeping Texas epic; big cast performances; bold social themes | Cons: overlong pacing; melodramatic sections; some parts drag
