Faces of November
1964 · Movie · 12 min · ★ 6.3
This short, stark film has no dialogue and no narration. Mourners struggle with personal feelings that are revealed painfully in their faces. Originally commissioned by ABC News to document the funeral of the assassinated President John F. Kennedy, the film came in at a length that the network found awkward and was never aired. Nevertheless, Faces of November won two prizes at the Venice Film Festival.
