Bill is a ladies man. He's carefree and irresponsible. He works as a fireman on the railroad. His friend, Jack, is an engineer. He's down to earth and reliable. One day Bill comes to stay with Jack and his wife, Lily. The inevitable happens and Bill falls for Lily. Jack finds out and battle ensues. Jack is seriously injured and Bill is wracked with guilt. But Jack seeks revenge.
