Directed by Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back), financed in part by Roger Corman, and featuring the debut of acclaimed cinematographer Haskell Wexler, this crime drama follows three teenagers who find a fortune in pure heroin lost by a gang of dope peddlers during a gun battle with the police. Ignoring the potential consequences, they decide to sell the stuff in order to realize their various dreams. But none of them are experienced in the dangers of drug dealing, and mayhem ensues.
