The valley of Kashmir has been a source of tension - and the cause of three wars - between India and Pakistan since 1947. In the last decade, protests and insurgency in Indian Kashmir have grown exponentially, and the army has become an all-pervasive presence in the capital, Srinagar. Having grown up in this volatile atmosphere, young Rafiq decides to try to join the rebel movement.
