Marlena is the young wife of a powerful cartel boss, and Willy is her secret lover. Fearing for their safety, the two flee separately from Mexico in hopes of someday being reunited. Willy suspects that Marlena is hiding in Montreal, so he heads to Quebec. There he gets hired as a seasonal worker but soon becomes embroiled in growing tensions among the migrant laborers at the farm.
