Diao is sent to search for an old friend of his father's in a remote village. While there, he becomes famous by winning a buffalo race, a boxing competition and receiving the attention of the village beauty. He also rouses the local gangsters by protecting the poor. Inevitably, he is murdered by the gangsters but he wakes again as a headless ghost to seek his revenge!
