The Getting of Wisdom
1977 · Movie · 97 min
★ 6.5(17)unSUB Rating
A passion project for Bruce Beresford, this spirited boarding-school drama shares some DNA with the seminal Picnic at Hanging Rock. With a wilful lead performance from Susannah Fowle as the young ward receiving her sentimental education, The Getting of Wisdom is a New Wave coming-of-age classic.
