1976 · Movie · 99 min · ★ 9.5
Corazon de la Cruz (Nora Aunor) is a nurse in the Philippines in pursuit of the proverbial American dream. For her grandfather, this is a betrayal to one’s country but despite this and the injustices being done by American soldiers to her community, Corazon and the rest of her family turn a blind eye in favor of their own dreams. On the eve of Corazon’s departure, an American soldier from a nearby US Navy base mistakes her younger brother for a wild boar and shoots him dead. With tragedy striking her own family, is Corazon still capable of turning a blind eye?
