About

You’ll likely enjoy Splice if you want a tense, unsettling take on genetic experimentation and its consequences, but Not for you if you want a neatly satisfying arc or if you dislike dark, morally fraught sci-fi like Annihilation or Crimes of the Future.

Pros: tense ethical sci-fi premise; disturbing creature design; strong lead performances | Cons: uneven and sometimes silly script; predictable story beats; divisive emotional payoff
