Biography

Timothy James Curry was an English actor and singer who amassed more than 240 credits on screen and stage in a career which spanned nearly 60 years. Curry made his acting debut in the West End production of Hair (1968–1969) and gained wide recognition for portraying Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show (1973–1975) and its 1975 film adaptation The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He received three Tony nominations for his Broadway performances in Amadeus (1980–1981) as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, My Favorite Year (1992–1993) as Alan Swann, and Spamalot (2005) as King Arthur; and two Olivier nominations for West End productions of The Pirates of Penzance (1982) and Spamalot (2006–2007).
