Biography
William Hall was an American actor of Irish-English descent. He enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 14 and served in France during World War I. After being injured, he recovered in Italy where he began studying voice and performed with an Italian theater group. Hall later pursued higher education at Georgetown University and initially aspired to become a diplomat.
