Biography
Johnnie To Kei-fung is a Hong Kong filmmaker. Widely regarded as a pivotal figure of the Hong Kong New Wave and in contemporary Hong Kong cinema, he is best known internationally for his highly stylized action, crime, and triad films. His work, often brought to life through a recurring ensemble of cast and crew members, is characterized by its exploration of themes, including friendship, fate, ironies of life, and the rapidly changing face of Hong Kong society.
