Biography
Mark Rutte (The Hague, 14 February 1967) is a Dutch administrator and former politician. Since 1 October 2024, he has been the Secretary-General of NATO. Previously, from 14 October 2010 to 2 July 2024, he served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands and Minister of General Affairs, making him the longest-serving Prime Minister in Dutch history. From 2006 to 2023, he was also the political leader of the Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie (VVD).
