Biography

Laxmikant Berde was an Indian actor known for his work in primarily for his work in Marathi theatre and cinema, alongside a long parallel career as a supporting comic actor in Hindi films. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he appeared in an estimated 150 to 185 films and was widely referred to in the Marathi press as the "Superstar of Marathi Cinema" and the "Comedy King" for his high-energy, mannerism-driven comic style. He has received several accolades including, a Maharashtra State Film Award and two Filmfare Awards Marathi.
