Thordsen's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the horror feature "Invasion of the Saucer Men" (1957) with Steve Terrell, the Dana Andrews dramatic adaptation "The Fearmakers" (1958) and the crime picture "City of Fear" (1959) with Vince Edwards.
