Biography
Harold Edward Puthoff, often known as Hal Puthoff, is an American electrical engineer and parapsychologist who started out his career in laser physics. In the 1970s he pivoted to promoting pseudoscientific and occult ideas relating to such ideas as remote viewing His claims about remote viewing in the late 1970s and early 1980s were widely criticized. In the 1980s and 1990s he published about unconventional theories of gravitation and zero-point energy. Since the 1990s, he has been involved in ufology.
