Biography
Dmitri Aleksandrovich Hvorostovsky was a Russian operatic baritone. He came to international prominence in 1989 when he won the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition. He was awarded the People's Artist of Russia honorary title in 1995 and died of brain cancer in London.
