Mary Berry explores some of the nation's greatest stately homes through the prism of food, her best area of expertise. Mary meets the present day custodians and their knowledgeable, dedicated staff as she visits the gardens, kitchens and private rooms. Later, Mary will produce her own special recipes and celebrate the heritage and legacy of these houses with all those she has met. Some of the estates that Mary visits include Highclere Castle in Berkshire, the real-life `Downton Abbey', as well as Scone Palace, the epicentre of Scottish history.
