Biography

Eddie Braun (born 23 November 1961; age 64) is a stuntman, stunt actor and stunt coordinator who performed stunts in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: Insurrection. In Star Trek VI, Braun portrayed an Excelsior crewman on the bridge. One of his stunt scenes in Star Trek: Insurrection as a Tarlac officer was deleted from the final film cut, a thirty foot fall from a cliff, along with stuntmen Joey Box, Brian Avery and Brian J. Williams. In this scene, Brent Spiner's character Data and several Ba'ku background performers met these three alien officers on their way away from the Ba'ku village. Spiner, doubled by Brian Williams, knocked them out and threw them over the cliff. This scene and the making of this scene were included in the Star Trek: Insurrection (Special Edition) DVD feature "Anatomy of a Stunt". In 2002 he was nominated for a Taurus World Stunt Award for best stunt coordination for the film Rush Hour 2. Braun has doubled for stars such as Michael Paré and Armand Assante and is a longtime stunt double for Charlie Sheen. Among his resume are films such as St. Helens (1981), Survival Game (1987), Navy SEALs (1990), Hot Shots! (1991, with Heidi Swedberg, Annie O'Donnell, Chris Doyle and stunts by Andy Gill and Noon Orsatti), Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992, with Stephen Root, Al Goto, Kim Robert Koscki, Sharon Shaffer, Lincoln Simonds and stunts by Freddie Hice), Army of Darkness (1992, with Dennis Madalone, Tom Morga and Patricia Tallman), Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993), Major League II (1994, with Corbin Bernsen), Down Periscope (1996, starring Kelsey Grammer, with Toby Huss and Patton Oswalt), Conspiracy Theory (1997, with Patrick Stewart), City of Angels (1998), Bedazzled (2000), Showtime (2002, with William Shatner), Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004, with William Shatner, Stephen Root, Gary Cole, Missi Pyle and stunts by Spice Williams), Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005, with William Shatner, Enrique Murciano and Faith Minton), The Island (2005, with Ethan Phillips), and Transformers (2007). Braun's resume also includes work in television series such as Deadly Games (starring Christopher Lloyd), Firefly, Whoopi Goldberg’s Strong Medicine (starring Jenifer Lewis), Dr. Vegas, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Spy TV.
