
Biography
John Swihart (born 1964) is an American musical composer for film and television. Some of his best known scores include the films Napoleon Dynamite (2004), Employee of the Month (2006), Youth in Revolt (2009), and television shows How I Met Your Mother (2005 - 2014), and Go On (2012 - 2013). Swihart was raised in Bloomington, Indiana, the adopted son of a physicist based at Indiana University. He attended Berklee College of Music, in Boston, graduating in 1986. Prior to becoming a film and television composer, he performed in shows as a multi-instrumentalist for the Blue Man Group.
