António Porém Pires is a Portuguese Sound Designer and Re-recording Mixer based in Mexico City, with over 20 years of experience and 140+ credits. His work has been featured at major festivals including Cannes, Venice, Berlin, and Toronto, as well as institutions like MoMA and the Tate Modern. Having worked across a vast array of disciplines in sound and music, António brings a highly versatile and refined sensibility to the mixing stage, combining technical precision with an intuitive ability to translate a director’s narrative goals. A member of the Cinema Audio Society, he serves as a seasoned lead for both independent narrative features and global streaming series for platforms like Netflix and HBO. He may or may not like to write in the third person.
