Sammy Pharr Reese (September 11, 1930 – September 11, 1985) was an American film and television actor. He was known for playing the recurring role of Dr. Dan Shanks in the first season of the American medical drama television series Dr. Kildare. He also acted in In the Heat of the Night (1967), En el calor de la noche (1967), King Rat (1965) and Patrullero PT 109(1963).
