Biography
Shannon Mills is an American supervising sound editor and sound designer based at Skywalker Sound. Born and raised in Indiana, he began his career in film sound as a sound librarian at Skywalker Sound, where he worked under prominent industry figures such as Gary Rydstrom and George Watters III. During his early career, he spent about eight years working closely with Gary Rydstrom before taking on independent supervising editor and sound design roles. His major credits include work as supervising sound editor on films such as Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Raya and the Last Dragon (2021). His work on Raya and the Last Dragon earned him the MPSE Golden Reel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Feature Animation. His contribution to Avengers: Endgame was nominated for the Satellite Award for Best Sound (Editing & Mixing).
