Biography
Sarah Carter is a Set Decorator with over 15 years of experience working on domestic and international feature films and television series. She has a background in interior design and a deep appreciation for history, culture, and storytelling. Raised in a small town in Ohio before relocating to South Georgia during high school, Carter has always had a creative spirit and a love for storytelling. Encouraged to pursue creative writing to overcome a learning disability, she developed a deep appreciation for the power of narrative. This interest would later inform her work in film. While studying Interior Design at Georgia State University and working at a fabric store in Atlanta, Carter was introduced to the film industry. She gained valuable experience during an internship at Tyler Perry Studios, contributing to the renovation of the former Delta Headquarters. Shortly after graduating, she was hired as a Production Assistant on a film produced at the studio. The experience sparked a passion for the film industry, and she quickly advanced to work as a Set Decoration Buyer during the rapid growth of film production in Atlanta.
